A little update!

I figured I better do a little update, considering I haven't posted in forever. Its about time right??

Me and Sam are super busy working and slowly planning the wedding. Maybe its just right now, but Im not super stressed. Im assuming the stress will hit about, oh March or April. Thats when things are going to start rolling. Its already less than 7 months away, time is flying
We DO have some exciting news though...
we will be going to JAMAICA for our honeymoon! I got an AMAZING deal through Get Away Today. We will be staying in Grande Rivera, it is a Sandals resort. Our travel agent sent us pictures, and I am so so so excited.

Sandals is so awesome, they set us up a registry so our friends and family could help us pay for our trip and get us upgrades on our room, pay for a candle light dinner, etc. This is super great, considering we already have a lot for our house/apartment. You can find our registry here.

DONT FORGET: We need your addresses. We will be sending out invites EARLY so those that need to travel can make travel plans. We also have group rates on hotels set up, so if you are traveling let me or Sam know, we will get you set up! :) If you have already put your address in to our address book, don't worry! We have it. If you are not sure, ask and we will check.

Put your addresses here: www.postable.com/chelseaandsam

Our wedding website has been running super slow lately, but you can still find that here: theknot.com/us/chelsea-and-sam
Our website includes everything, a few of our engagements, wedding party details, our engagement story and our dating story, pretty much everything!

I recently became a Scentsy Consultant. I love it so far, my team is great, and selling scentsy is so fun. I haven't done any home parties, I have done mostly online parties. Which is great, but how do you smell Scentsy through the computer???? I mostly love filling orders and giving people their orders, I feel like santa....like a scentsy santa! Anyways.....

Thats about all for now. We are both working lots. I work at the Salt Lake County Sports Office and Sam now works at Holland Equipment Company. We still live in Salt Lake, although I don't know how long we will be in Salt Lake. A relocation may be in our near future, but we don't know exactly where yet! :)

The Engagement Story! :)

So if you follow me on instagram or are friends with me on facebook(which im sure is the majority of people reading this) you probably know that Sam and me are engaged!:) a lot of people want to see the ring pics and hear the actual story, so rather than tell it a million times I will post it on my lovely blog that I haven't updated in AGES. whoops. Ill get better at that eventually.
Anyway.

Here it goes.
So lets be honest, I knew what my ring would probably look like, in Sam's words: "Im not going to go out and spend all this money on a little ring and you not like it. So tell me what you want" So I may have helped out a little bit:) ...okay maybe a lot.
It was custom and it took a while to get done, so I didnt really have a clue when it was going to happen. Sooooooo....I knew it was getting close, because I refuse to have our engagement pictures in the snow, cause if you dont already know I hate snow and I wanted the pictures done in the late summer/fall. So I may have already scheduled those, and told him he has until then to do what he needs to do. I figured that would be plenty of time, but Sam would say otherwise. Apparently Sam drove all the way to Logan on Friday to get the ring without me knowing, he told me he worked late. Which is normal, he does that a lot, so I didnt think anything of it.
Soooo...lets fast forward to today!
I have been wanting to hike to Cecret Lake since we moved to Salt Lake back in May, and it was supposed to be an easy hike. So we decided to go today, it is Sam's only day off this week, he had to work yesterday(Saturday). So first of all, we get up there(Tiffany came too, she took the wonderful pictures ya'll get to look at) and the parking lot to the campground we were supposed to drive to was full. There was a free shuttle to the campground, but instead we decide to walk to the campground which was probably 2 miles away from the spot we parked in little cottonwood canyon. I have been sick for a week now with a horrible cold and I am just now getting over it, but I am still stuffy and congested. So with saying that, that hike sucked, and it was not easy. Me and Tiffany were dying, I had to stop a lot because I could barely breathe. I had a horrible sinus headache, and the people we met along the way were saying that the last part of the hike to the lake was terrible switchbacks and such. I was so mad that this "easy" hike was not easy at all, it really sucked actually! We stopped at the campground and had lunch, then the last .4 miles of the hike was packed with people and over all of these rocks. But when we got to the top it was gorgeous.

The water was sooo clear. So we wandered around for a while, and things kept getting more and more awkward, and I had no clue why. So we wandered, from spot to spot until apparently Sam decided that this certain spot was alright. I suggested that me and Tiffany take pictures, and then she said she would take pictures of me and Sam after that. Well when me and Sam were taking pictures, we were goofing off and then I turned away for a second and all of a sudden he was down on one knee!
I'm not gonna lie, I started laughing because Sam opened the ring box upside down, and the poor kid was so nervous I don't think either one of us knew what to do. Of course I said yes:) Now I'm exhausted, and completely thrilled that I can officially start planning. Im even more thrilled that I'm stuck with this guy forever and couldn't be happier about it:) Hes great! Im really not good at being super emotional or excited around a lot of people and there were people EVERYWHERE. So dont mind that I'm not so totally super ecstatic, I also had hiked like 2.5 miles by this point...so theres that.

The ring picture! yay!:)

Save the date, and plan on a good time July 11th, 2015. Its gonna be a party!

A lot of people dont know how we met or really know our story at all, so were going to post that here soon. Hang tight, Ill get around to it sometime this week, I promise!

doTERRA and horses!

Okay, another short post about oils.
But this one hits home, especially since in the last couple weeks I have seen it work!

We had someone ask us about using essential oils on horses, and my sister gave her samples. This horse has asthma, and would wheeze and cough frequently. So we gave her some breathe mixed with coconut oil to dilute it so it wasnt so strong. The next time the horse was having an attack, this blend was put around her nostrils and down her neck. Within minutes the horse had stopped coughing, and was calm again. SO COOL RIGHT?

I am just amazed by the benefits doTERRA gives to people and animals. I am going to try and use a calming blend on my horse at horse shows, seeing if it will keep him from spooking at inanimate objects....it happens more than I would like it to! haha

Again, if you want more info please let me know by emailing me: chelseab162@gmail.com. I can send you samples and answer your questions!

Ill keep everyone updated on how Thomas reacts to the serenity:)

Let's talk about doTERRA.

So a lot of people already know how crazy I am with my oils and how much I rave about them, but they may think they are a scam. I just wanted to share my success stories and hope that someone sees this and sees that it can help them too!

I know there are a lot of other oil brands out there, and Im going to be honest, I havent messed around much with those. I was introduced to doTERRA by my sister and haven't tried any others because these have worked so well.

These oils smell just like they sound, completely pure. That sounds weird, but I assure you, you would know what Im talking about if you have used them.

I have replaced a lot of over the counter meds with oils because they are TONS better for you. You can replace things like Icy Hot, allergy meds, ibuprofen, nyquil, dayquil, inhalers or even provide sunburn relief with just a couple drops of essential oil.
If you want more info or want to learn more about doTERRA, check out their website: http://www.doterra.com/us/ or contact me directly at chelseab162@gmail.com. If I can't answer your questions, I'll let my sister answer them, she is a certified holistic health coach and travels most of the western US selling these oils and teaching classes on holistic health. Her direct website is divinewellnessnow.com

I have seen these oils work in many ways. I wouldnt use them otherwise! When Sam(my boyfriend) moved to Utah in December, he came down with a horrid case of strep throat. He had it for almost three weeks. We went to Wyoming for Christmas and we were sure he was going to have to go see a doctor there to get rid of it. By combining about five different oils(Oregano, DDR Prime, Melaleuca, and a couple others I cant remember at the moment) and using them about 4-5 times a day, he was almost 100% in 2 days. No doctors, just oils.

Shortly before flying to San Diego to drive back to Utah with Sam, I got sick and somehow got an eye infection. I decided just to be safe to go to the Student wellness center to see if I needed to get any eye drops. Before I went to the doctor I mixed up a little bottle of oils and put it around my eye(on the bone) about every half hour. By the time I saw a doctor my infection was nearly gone, but he wrote me a prescription for $90 eye drops. I was so scared I was going to have to get that filled!! Thats a ridiculous price for some chemicals to maybe kill an infection that he didnt even know I had. I kept applying my oils after I got and I was even able to wear my contacts the next day I felt so much better. I never had to get that prescription filled, thank goodness.  My little bottle of oils I mixed up maybe cost me $5.

These are only a couple of the many times oils have saved me. I have now even seen them work on horses, treating a horse's asthma attacks with some Breathe oil mixed with coconut oil!

If you are interested in these oils please dont hesitate to contact me. I would love to chat with you, or send you to my sister who can talk to you about what a difference these oils can make. I assure you, there is an oil for EVERYTHING. My friends are probably sick of me saying "I have an oil for that" or "try this oil" but I promise you, it works!

changes

Ive always hated goodbyes.
Its always been see you later for me. Thats how I coped with dropping sam off at the airport when he came to visit. Didnt stop me from crying, but it helped a little. I would just start counting down to the next time I would see him.
(Thank GOODNESS I dont have to do that anymore)

Anyways. This week is my final week in Logan. I am done with school, and I am moving on to a new chapter. Which scares the living daylights out of me. Because I have been in school since I can remember. There was no real decision for me on whether or not to go to college, I just decided where to go and went. Which was great. Fast forward five long, antagonizing years you have a college grad who changed her major 3 times, and then happened to stumble upon the best program at USU. :) I have learned SO much the past two years it blows my mind. I could imagine spending my last two years anywhere else. But now the scary part is, I have to grow up and have a real job and buy a car...and think about buying houses....

TERRIFYING THINGS OK GUYS.

Anyways. Back to my point.
It comes time to say goodbye to Logan, my friends, my sorority sisters, and everything Ive ever known basically about living away from home. Big changes are happening ya'll, and a year from now who knows where I will be. Its scary, and like I said before, Ill miss Logan like crazy. But right now, Im embracing the change, the move, and the opportunity to experience the next chapter in my life. Ive come across a realization that life is so short. You only have one time to get it right. And I dont think it's so much getting it right, but loving the live you've been given.
God has blessed me so much, all the things that have happened to me in the past two years have been absolutely amazing. Not to say that I havent had trials and dont expect to have more. But. I am so lucky. I am so happy. I am so ready to say "see you later" to Logan and hello to another adventure. A piece of my heart will always be here:)

See you later--
Chelsea
